Welcome. I’m passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families discover authenticity, self-compassion, and lasting growth. I have experience in supportive, inclusive settings focused on substance use, eating disorders, and addiction recovery. My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and holistic. I look at the whole picture of your life, including relationships, environment, and unique experiences. I personalize our work together, drawing on Compassion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and other approaches that best fit your needs. I’m also pursuing certification in EMDR and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and I especially look forward to using EFT when working with couples.
I have a special interest in helping people heal from trauma, and I continually deepen my skills in somatic and sensory-based techniques that honor the mind-body connection. When it feels right for you, I love exploring nature-based tools and practices as part of the healing process. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Everyone’s path is unique. My goal is to offer you a genuine, judgment-free space where you can explore at your own pace in a way that feels comfortable and true to you.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 20 years as a hairstylist in several California cities. For two decades, I honed my skills in listening deeply, building trust, and supporting people through meaningful change. While my setting has shifted, the heart of my work remains the same. I support people as they transform and thrive. Now, my focus is on supporting psychological, relational, physical, and spiritual well-being, knowing that all these parts of us are connected.
As a neurodivergent person, a mom, someone in recovery, and a former hairstylist, I bring a rich tapestry of lived experience to my work. These parts of my journey help me appreciate the many ways people connect, communicate, and find meaning. I especially enjoy working with people who feel a bit different or are navigating complex life experiences, and I truly value the opportunity to learn from every client while offering empathy and acceptance.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my family, raising my child, gardening, and swimming. I’m also fascinated by true crime and its insights into human psychology. I love playing the steel tongue drum, thrifting and reselling, and caring for my pets and my collection of rare tropical plants. My goal is to bring warmth, authenticity, and genuine connection to every session. I look forward to partnering with you as you discover new strengths and possibilities on your journey
